First off I am shocked that the ratings of this book are so high. There was really little character development. You start reading about one person and all of a sudden she is dead. Then you read a little about another person and she is dead. You start reading about the third chick and bingo she is dead. I am not giving anything away because it is no surprise in the book.You get to the fourth chick and the cop (is he the main character?) does just the absolute craziest things. It is appalling really. Nothing this guy does in the book makes any sense. I don't think that any cop can just take off and start roaming the state finding potential victims. Then the absolute ridiculous "relationship" where they are declaring their love in a day. Awful.
I am not really sure who would enjoy this book. It starts out okay but it would drive serious mystery lovers crazy. The cop in the story is just so unbelievable. There are glimpses of what the killer is doing but no hint of a reason for what he is doing or any back story. The absolute crazy ending would be more for someone who likes harlequin romance stories. I am sorry but you never have a reason to even like the cop so you never really cared about him. It seemed like the story was about him but he was just there. No emotions or a reason to connect with him. His police work was completely unbelievable.
I do not like giving bad reviews but for people like me they need to know this before they purchase the book. It felt like someone was reporting on what some random people were doing and not a story.
Would I read another book by this author. I honestly am not sure. I might have purchased the book after reading the first chapter but clearly it went downhill from there. I would check the reviews but then again with all the 5s right now that seem light and fluffy without really mentioning what they liked so much about the book, just not sure I would trust them............

A sign of a good book is that you don't want it to end and you want to know what happens next with the characters. That is exactly what I got from this book. I finished it so quickly and it kept me wanting to read. Can't wait for her next book!
This was a great novel and kept me captivated all the way through. I was eager to see how it would end and there were plot twists that weren't expected so that made it all the more fun to read. I really liked the characters and was invested in them as the story progressed. I'm trying not to give anything away and highly recommend this book for someone who wants a book full of suspense! I'll definitely buy more from this author; I can't wait her next book.
Stopped after chapter 1 -- it was so obvious how the story would go. Very lame book and author.
I have been impatiently waiting for this book to arrive, and it did this morning. (On the stated delivery date. delivered. I'm just impatient by nature.)
I had the "misfortune" of coming home from work mid-day as a result of a minor accident and my book was waiting for me when I got here.
Of course, I grabbed it and my glasses and headed straight for the bed, where I propped up on pillows and started to read.
I couldn't put it down. Seriously. I read cover to cover this afternoon.
This story was one that started quickly and took off right out of the gate. The plot was terrific, the characters were believable, and I was taken on a bit of a roller coaster ride because what I thought might happen didn't in a couple of sections, which I LOVE in a story.
What a great afternoon I had getting to kick my feet up, relax, and devour a book. This one did not disappoint, and it certainly kept my mind off of my problems!
I look forward to reading more from this author.
I really enjoyed this book. It had suspense and romance. It kept me on the edge of my chair . I would recommend this to anyone who likes suspense
Well written, easy read. Kept my interest and couldn't put it down. Debe wrote each character in his or her own chapter blending each one to the next while building her story to a fantastic ending. Great read, I highly recommend it. Can't wait for her next book.
I generally don't say this but this was horrible, I couldn't read past the 30% mark on my . My problems The writing came across as just filling pages being descriptive as possible on EVERYTHING. The characters are shallow and vain creatures. The plot came across as down right silly and stupid.
